January 2020...a long time ago...an outbreak in Italy and now "Green Passes" will be required across all workplaces in Italy to show vaccination or a negative test for covid (presumably routinely). With enforcement in the form of four-figure fines against workers and employers, this is a step Italy are taking to drive vaccination uptake. Will a similar scheme be necessary, or welcome or workable in the UK, given the reaction to "covid passports" more generally? Presumably not for lorry drivers at the very least....Many different implications to such a system and one to keep an eye on.
