Housing Infrastructure Fund

Challenge Poverty Week - a fitting time for the Scottish Government to announce the launch of a £50 million Housing Infrastructure Fund being made available to local authorities and registered social landlords to support their housing infrastructure projects.

Housing Secretary, Shona Robinson recognises in a statement about the availability of this fund that providing housing can be a major contributor to tackling Scotland's poverty.

Fife Council are the first to receive a grant which will be used to support their provision of around 8000 homes in Dunfermline.

Up to £50 million will be given to councils and social landlords over the next five years to build housing infrastructure
